About STEAM EXPO
This year, we're elevating the bar for innovation and community engagement through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Our expo isn't just a showcase; it's a catalyst for change, inspiring students to tackle real-life challenges with creativity and interdisciplinary approaches.

STEM Expo guides youth STEM learning and exploration at an early age. From Elementary, to High School, students will undestand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting coopetition while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.
The Approach
Our projects are guided by the IDEA MODEL, a structured approach to inquiry and problem-solving that ensures every project is impactful, innovative, and informed. From inquiring about a community issue to assessing the effectiveness of a solution, this model shapes our projects into meaningful contributions to society.
These are the phases of the IDEA MODEL:
INQUIRE
Explore the phenomenon and justify the need for inquiry.
DEFINE
Conceptualize ideas and plan their execution.
EXECUTE
Implement the plan and record the data obtained.
ASSESS
Analyze the data, evaluate the impact, make necessary adjustments, and disseminate findings.
Through these phases, students not only develop a deeper understanding of STEM disciplines but also how to apply them in solving real-world problems. The IDEA MODEL encourages a cyclical process of learning, where students are motivated to re-engage with the inquiry phase for new projects, perpetually fueling their passion for discovery and innovation.
Performance Evaluation Criteria
The projects participating in the STEAM Expo will be evaluated according to a defined criteria that will determine how they integrated STEAM components to generate a sustainable, impactful and well-rounded innovative project proposal. The criteria are the following:
Dive into hands-on problem-solving that benefits both our school and the wider Atlántico and Colombian community. Imagine devising a solution that makes your school more environmentally friendly, directly impacting your peers.
Creativity
We encourage projects that think outside the box. Whether it's a new app to solve local issues or a scientific approach to community health, your creativity knows no bounds.
Innovation
This is where teamwork shines. Collaborate across grades and disciplines, bringing together students, educators, and community leaders to forge solutions that matter.
Impact
Connect your STEM projects to the challenges you see around you every day, making your education as practical as it is enlightening.
Scalable
Utilize the full spectrum of STEM disciplines to approach problems from multiple angles, ensuring a rich variety of solutions.
Originality
Let's work towards solutions that not only solve today's problems but also consider tomorrow's challenges, emphasizing ethical and sustainable decision-making.
