Purpose
Engage in the engineering design process by defining problems, designing and refining optimal solutions, and taking into account constraints or limitations that impact real-world situations.
Description
Using their own materials, primary students designed a parachute that would fall as slowly as possible with the school's IDEA design model. The students took part in a STEAM prototyping challenge applying the IDEA model.
Results and Impact Generated
Two primary students learned and applied AIS IDEA model and engaged in the prototyping of a functional parachute model.
