Purpose

To develop an experience of musical approach to stringed instruments through a didactic concert.

Description

Sharky, the school mascot, presented an instrumental program of fretted string instruments at AIS together with special guests to 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students.
An experience of musical approach to fretted string instruments was developed through a didactic concert. Our Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students were introduced to the AIS Rubbed String Instruments family and the AIS Rubbed String Instrumental Program.

Results and Impact Generated

Consolidation of the music program and student interest in learning to play a stringed instrument. To date, approximately 50% of the elementary school is in the music process.
