Purpose
The objective of this activity was to open the third unit by generating curiosity and initiative about stories and tales in first-grade students.
Description
This was the Launching Event of the third unit for first grade students in which they are going to write their own fiction story. All first and second grade students attended with their teachers, they conducted an interview with the librarian to learn about the differences between fiction and non-fiction books, what needs to be defined in order to write a story and the importance of being an active reader. Finally, each student painted a draft of their own book cover.
Results and Impact Generated
The students understood the importance of stories in everyday life and that through them we can share and express our experiences and knowledge.
