Purpose & Description
Improve the engagement of 7h grade students in how science and technology are applied through design and engineering to take action on the improvement of life quality of people with disabilities or motion disfuntions. This talk is immerse in the 7th grade Science PBL as a resource to make real-life connections of the topic.
Each speaker talk about their experience working with solutions and the process behind of it. Dra. Ena talks about prosthetics and orthosis, her motivations to work in this field. And Dr. Javier San Juan talk about his PhD project and how his prototype of assistant robot wheelchair could impact in the life quality of people with motion disfuntions. We expect that students make questions about the speakers experience and understand why is so important to learn about human systems and robotics basics.
