Purpose & Description
CTE stands for Career and Technical Education. It is a type of educational program offered in many schools, colleges, and vocational institutions that focuses on providing students with the skills and knowledge they need for specific careers or industries. CTE programs are designed to prepare students for the workforce and can cover a wide range of fields, including areas like healthcare, information technology, automotive technology, culinary arts, and more.
Overall, CTE programs are designed to bridge the gap between education and the workforce by equipping students with practical skills and knowledge that can lead to successful careers in various industries.
CTE takes place once a week in our Innovation Center and around the AIS campus. We opened this course for students in grade 10th up to 12th grade. Our school staff presented each of the courses at the beginning of the school year and students completed a survey with their preference and choice. By the end of the semester, students will end up with a portfolio which includes evidence of their learning and growth. Some of the CTE courses that we provide at our Innovation Center campus are:
- Web Design
- Entrepreneurship
- Data Science
- Digital productions
- STEM
- Graphic Design
